20 Weekly Sessions outlining a systematic
plan of instruction to introduce AND CONTINUALLY
REVIEW all of the sounds and spellings in
the English language using multisensory
activities.
Session One: Introduce
/m/ and /e/. Build the word “me”.
Session Two: Add /s/ /t/
/ee/ /ea/.
Build the words seat, team, eat, tea, steam,
meet, etc.
Each
session introduces new sounds, new spelling
patterns, and Wild Words (words that cannot
be sounded out), and REVIEWS all sounds
and spelling patterns learned in previous
lessons.

By
Session Ten, for example, students learn new
sounds, spellings, and Wild Words, and REVIEW all previous
sounds and spellings by building new words, reading Chants,
Chimes, and Nursery Rhymes on Language Experience Charts,
playing card games, printing sentences, and reading words
with these patterns in books, sentences, and internet
activities.
Sounds and spellings are introduced and reviewed using
explicit and direct methods of instruction.
Based on findings from the Report of the National Reading
Panel*– the most comprehensive and recent research
we have about beginning reading instruction.
Two academic levels can be adapted to split grades/ability
levels
Specific plans of instruction for printing using "Ready
