introduction to the world of early literacy and
the importance of early brain development, pretend
play, conversation, phonological awareness, music,

as well as why it is that some children struggle, and how
to make the most of their interactions with their children
so that they can ensure that ALL of their children find reading

2) Motivating parents with enthusiasm and humour to have more
fun with reading at home, and to implement simple, effective,
and practical early literacy activities into their daily routines.

Workshop Fees for 2007/2008:

per hour. (maximum 50 participants) plus travel (see "Travel
Fees" below)

Fees: Travel
expenses must be paid on top of workshop fees. Fees for travel
are: $ .38/km from Barrie ON, Canada within a 200km (125 mile)
radius.
